Hello, I’m Alex!
I am a professional Life Transitions & Career Coach and Rapid Transformational Therapist who specializes in personal growth, overcoming limiting beliefs, supporting clients through major life changes and decisions, relationship hurdles and subconscious mind reprogramming through hypnotherapy for any mental health issue or fear you may be facing. I am a personal development enthusiast who is passionate about the mind and behaviour and have worked to surpass my own struggles, and now I am here to help my clients unlock their own power and reach their goals.
I empower expats and professionals who are feeling stuck or going through life transitions to re-write their story and take giant leaps forward in love, life and business, so they can become the most fearless versions of themselves. Although I specialize in working with these target audiences, I also work with people who are feeling lost in career and life and need a supportive accountability partner to help them get back in the game and re-establish their goals and desires for the future.
Why specialize in expats and professionals you ask? Well, I too am a working professional who has worked in startups, big corporations and as a founder of my own company, plus I’m a global citizen who has lived in seven countries who understands the challenges, hurdles and mindsets of these populations.
I am a Canadian who went to high school in New Zealand, studied in Switzerland, and whose worked in Sri Lanka, the UK, Canada and Germany. I currently live in Hamburg and consider it home but who knows where I might end up one day. I speak English and French, and I’m currently learning German.
I have a private coaching and therapy practice working with a broad range of clients from around the globe. In addition to this, I’m also a mentor for founders and CEOs and have taken part in Techstars digital accelerator program as a marketing strategy and digital communications mentor for a number of Tech startups. In addition, I’m a mentor and coach for the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) Health´s Mentoring & Coaching Network (MCN).

Alex Behind the Scenes
Before becoming a Certified Coach, I worked as a marcoms professional for over 12 years in both global companies, organizations and startups. I really enjoyed working in communications and marketing positions ranging from the Olympics and educational institutions to engineering and technology companies. I am widely travelled with a passion for personal growth, empowering people, health tech and digital innovation.
In my spare time I like to explore art galleries & museums, travel the world, drink herbal teas, watch thought-provoking films, read articles on psychology & personal development, meditate, work on weaving projects and enjoy deep conversations with friends.
My recent goals are cycling daily, supporting my clients as best I can, learning about positive intelligence and neural network rewiring, eating healthy nutritious food, spending time in nature, exploring more of Spain, trying not to catch COVID-19 and learning how to paint with watercolours.
My Own Story
My life wasn’t always the way it is now. I too had to go on an extensive journey of healing and discovery before reaching a more serene, calm and conscious lifestyle. I grew up as a third culture kid which meant I never really fit in 100% anywhere and often felt like an outsider. I was born in Canada but at the age of 14 my family moved to New Zealand, halfway around the world from anything I knew. Although I made friends quickly, I had a lot to learn regarding this new culture, education system, Kiwi slang and overall way of life. After high school, I moved to Switzerland where I studied and lived with a French Swiss family. Like any new culture, there was much to learn and it took some time to make friends.
But it wasn’t until 3rd year of University when I started to really struggle with self-worth, insecurities, burnout, and anxiety. I had moved back to Canada to complete an undergraduate degree in psychology but started to lack motivation for my studies, felt confused about my career future, found myself single for the first time in years and began to struggle with feeling inspired. Luckily, I managed to overcome this difficult stage. I now show up for myself everyday, have healthy habits and am continually working on my own personal growth, which has allowed me to create both an inner and outer world that brings me joy.
After living in Vancouver for five years, I decided it was time to step out of my comfort zone again and moved to London, England. Although this is one of the world’s great cities, it was still a challenge to develop a completely new life. I’m sure if you’re an expat reading this, you know exactly what I mean. At least for this move, I spoke the language and had a couple of old friends who lived in the city. But this hasn't always been the case and it can be really tough to land somewhere foreign with no connections or knowledge of the language. Living in London was a life changing experience for me on many levels. I made friends with people from all over the globe, travelled regularly in Europe, saw the best art exhibitions and theatre performances, expanded my career experience and more.
Finally, in 2020 under a never-ending lockdown in Berlin, Germany, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I decided it was time to really embrace my coaching and therapy journey. I’ve always had a passion for helping people and even worked with people with disabilities, brain injury and mental health issues years ago. Today I stand before you, as a Certified Professional Coach, Rapid Transformational Therapist, Hypnotherapist, CBT & NLP practitioner, an entrepreneur, digital health and tech startup mentor, marketing & communications professional, writer and wannabe watercolor painter.
So that’s my journey in a nutshell, and now I feel more aligned with my values and true life calling. I no longer suffer from sleepless nights, over-indulging and mental fog. I feel clear-headed, determined, confident and empowered.
Now, are you ready to take the big leap to create the life you always desired or make the changes you know you truly need in your life? It’s time to heal, surpass life’s obstacles, overcome limiting beliefs and start making conscious decisions today.
